Product Marketing or (PMM) for short, has exploded over the past ten years. The title was around though rarely used and its counterpart Brand Marketing existed for non-SaaS companies. The title and discipline grew heavily in the B3B SaaS space and are now widely used across B2C industries and non-SaaS-based companies. In this article, you’ll learn a bit about why I’m excited to write about product marketing, the benefits of the craft, and what’s in store for the future of product marketing.

I have a deep and personal gratitude for product marketing. For those of you who know little or haven’t heard about product marketing, let’s just say, it could be the most cross-functional role ever, in addition, there are a plethora of diverse activities the function endures. The cross-functional components and diverse activities give space for a lot to write about and is a portion of why I love the work and became a product marketer, though writing about these topics sharpens a lot of skills.
