A person first.
I’m Brian Boros. I write, I play, I train, and I help an idea find the people it is for. The categories are real. They are not separate lives.
01 · The life
What I follow when nobody is hiring me.
I write a lot, about a lot. The blog is where I slow down long enough to see what has my attention: health, culture, philosophy, business, the unknown. Categories are trails. They are not a curriculum.
Music is not the side room. I compose, and I play saxophone and guitar, across funk, jazz, fusion, blues, and the stranger edges. An album is coming. The live work is already moving. The music page is the room for that.
I train. I pay attention to how a week is actually lived: the body, the food, time outside, land. I care about odd questions, and about the craft of putting something true in front of other people. A song, a sentence, a product. Same standard.
02 · The work
The same craft, pointed at a company.
For twelve years I have sat with founders on the path from an idea to a market that can buy it. Product strategy: roadmaps, what to build, and whether it actually ships. Go-to-market: positioning, messaging, a launch, and the sales motion that follows a story. Startup work: early teams, including the company that was mine.
Podstud was that company. A podcasting platform. The model started in an entrepreneurship course, then had to leave the classroom. Two and a half years of product and marketing, fully mine. Around it I learned the other end of the sentence on sales floors in Chicago: someone has to believe the story, then stay long enough to be brought on.
The consulting practice is the through-line, from 2014 to now. I sit between the product team and the market. Features become a narrative. Customer needs become what ships. The companies, the three lines of the work, and the five certificates live on the work page. This page is only why they belong to the same person.
03 · Still in it
Ask a better question. Then build.
Purdue University, philosophy and entrepreneurship, undergraduate, since 2016. Still enrolled. The unfinished degree is the long thread under the companies. Training sits in the same attention: certified to coach the body and the plate. The week still has to be lived.
